RISKY flag: this is a decision about the FUTURE interface -- the interface itself remains out of phase (Aristide 2026-08-02) and nothing here is built or to be built now. Design consequence to honor when the time comes: every pipeline decision (condition class, direction, lead, tab, comp) must be representable as a per-contour value with a table-resolved default and an operator override slot -- data in JSON, generator separate from presentation, so the right-click UI can be added without re-architecting. The pipeline already computes per-contour values; what does not exist is any override storage or UI. See machine-tables-rev2 for the four MetaCam reference dialogs.
