Vocabulary — design stage
Jordan, 2026-08-06, generalized: “Unless we can create an environment where the shear factor is 10× the weight, provide a pin to carry the weight.” Friction, adhesion and magnetic holds never carry a part's weight unless their shear capacity is at least 10× that weight; otherwise a positive mechanical support (pin, bolt, slot on a stud, shelf) takes the load and the friction elements merely stabilize. This supersedes the earlier 4× bar. Consequence: the holding figure of a stabilizer stops being load-bearing anywhere, so finish, paint and plating stop being structural variables.
