Q3 How does a file tell us a path is engrave/score rather than cut -- layer name, stroke colour, or both?
Aristide, Jordan — Its gate FAILs on open contours. That cannot go global while an engrave stroke may legitimately be open.

Commit 900fc49. Topology detector (open contours + duplicates), red QC circles on the board, gate FAILs on open/duplicate/branch. Proven on ex9 — false PASS → correct FAIL; circles match the operator’s flags.
